Christmas and Cookies and Cousins, Oh My!

On Friday, December 19th, we had Christmas cookie decorating at the Buhl Castle! The girls and I baked Funfetti Christmas cookies and yummy Gingerbread girls (and boys!) during the day, and that night we invited their cousins, Anna (age 10), Adam (age 8), and Alex (age 5 1/2) over for some cookie fun. My sweet nephew, Alex, was in Knoxville visiting from MN, and we hadn't seen him since July 2007, so we were extra excited! Everybody got green and white frosting, along with lots of sprinkles, colored sugar, and red hots! Lily and Maddy were so careful in frosting their cookies:

Lily's favorite was her Gingerbread girl and Maddy was so proud of her cookie with LOTS of sprinkles!

This was the first time that Katy had ever decorated cookies. She loved licking the frosting off of the knife the best:

Alex was the most creative and made his Gingerbread boy into "Indiana Jones" (he is so cute!):

When they were through decorating they each got to sample their cookies. The kitchen was a MESS, but I LOVED having a house full of children's laughter and it was so great having the cousins together! We are so blessed!
