A Beary Special Friend

Lily has a beary special friend, Gracie Sullivan, that she met on the first day of Kindergarten at Brickey. Their teacher, Patti Bounds, put them together on the first staggered day, because she has learned over the years that the kids that start off together on the staggered days, end up staying together, and she just knew they would become special friends. Well, she was right! (Thank you Patti!) I have really enjoyed watching Lily and Gracie's friendship grow. It is so precious! They have become inseparable! We've had lots of playdates and when she was over at our house last Monday, Katy kept following her around and called her "Sissy" a couple of times! Yesterday, January 31st, was Gracie's 6th Birthday, and she had her Birthday party at Build-A-Bear Workshop. Lily was so excited, especially since Gracie asked her to sleep over the night before! Lily couldn't wait to make a bear. Every time we are at the Mall, we walk through looking at everything, but we never make anything. This was her 2nd time making a bear, but she was so little the first time that she doesn't remember it much. When she got there, Lily picked out a pink bear to build. After singing "Teddy-ta" they put on their party hats (which were their unstuffed bears) and marched to the back while shouting, "We want stuffing!":

They got to put a heart inside of the bear and they rubbed it on their face so the bear would be as pretty as them, and then their nose so the bear wouldn't snore:

They took turns stuffing their bear:

Then they got to give their bear a bath:

and choose a shirt and hairbows. Lily chose a cute rainbow tank top for her bear, along with pink and purple bows. Here is Lily with her finished bear who she named, "Pink.":
