On Sunday, October 10th, our family participated in the Buddy Walk at the World's Fair Park. We walked in honor of my friend's baby girl who has Down Syndrome. Her name is Addyson and they had cute shirts made for her that say, "I've got Addy-tude"
Addyson has so many people that love her! Look how many people came out to walk for her!
It was so hot and the temperature was in the upper 80s. After the walk, some of the girls started running through the fountains at World's Fair Park when we were finished walking with their clothes on! I was talking to another mom and we both said, "Oh, we're not going to let ours go in with their clothes." Next thing I knew, Jonathan started helping the kids get their socks and shoes off so they could "put their feet in."
They had SO much fun!
We ended up letting the kids play in the fountains for over an hour. All the laughing, squeals and smiles were worth every piece of wet clothing that the girls rode home in! What a special day we had together as a family. Please pray for our friends, the Strunks, as they continue on their journey with Addy-bug.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
