Maddy's Open House...

West Hills Baptist Church Preschool had their Open House on Thursday, Sept. 25. Maddy was so excited that we were all going to visit her school with her. She couldn't wait to show off her classroom! She absolutely LOVES going to school. She has been walking herself in since the 2nd day of school. Her teachers are great and they are doing so many fun things, and Maddy has made a new friend named Mollie. For the big event, Maddy wanted to wear her favorite brown dress with the yellow bow to match. (She is getting so particular about her clothes and matching accessories!) She first showed us how they are to put their fish into the fishbowl every morning to show that they are present. Then she took us into their new reading center. Their class was able to purchase some cute little furniture from points they earned through Scholastic Book orders. She sat down and read her class book to us. Mrs. Elder and Mrs. Houk put together a book that has all of the children's pictures in them so they could take them home and learn their friends' names. Then Maddy showed us the bulletin board that they made as a class. The title was "We're On the Move to..." Of course Maddy chose a yellow car, and her answer was "...the Bounce House" It's always fun to see/hear the things they come up with! When we were done with her classroom, we HAD to go visit the Book Fair. Even though we have hundreds of books at home, I let each girl pick out a new one. Jonathan and I both love to read and the girls are definitely following in our footsteps. I don't think we could ever have too many books!

Happy Fall...

Happy first day of Fall! I just LOVE Fall! I had to share with you a project that Lily's teacher, Mrs. Bounds, had them do for Kindergarten. Each child is making a Family Tree out of handprints. We were to trace and cut out a handprint for each member of our family to use as leaves for the tree. It was a little difficult getting Katy to sit still long enough to get her hand traced, and even more difficult to get Parker's since he is only 2 months old and doesn't know how to spread his hand out! But, it was so much fun to do! After I got everyone's hand traced and cut out I just HAD to take a picture!
Lily was so excited to take them to school! When she came home I asked her what they did with them and she said they had to stand up and share them in front of the class. And then she said, "Mommy...I was the only one who had SIX handprints and I was so very proud!" What a cutie!
Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so...And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:11-12

Our Little VOLS...

On Saturday I decided to attempt a photo shoot with my sweeties! UT was playing so I had them dressed in their BIG ORANGE! I took a bunch but this was the best one. (I wish Parker had been looking, but at least the 3 girls are looking AND smiling!): Here are some pictures of Parker in his 1st UT outfit:
When Jonathan saw these last 2 pics. he asked me if I was trying to turn Parker into a centerfold! I laughed so hard it made me cry! I told him that I was just trying to show how long he was! :)

She is madly in love with her baby brother. She is by his side 24/7! A couple of weeks ago I overheard her talking to him and she was saying, "Parker Buddy...I love you sooo much. I'm so glad you were born!" It was the sweetest thing! She is a huge help and it makes my heart happy watching her with Parker!

A Special Birthday...

Yesterday was my 32nd Birthday. Now...everyone knows that once you have children, your own birthday becomes just another day. Well, thanks to my wonderful family and friends, my Birthday was made very special. My mom and dad gave me a new Vera Bradley tote in the Limited Edition pattern, Seaside. It's got my favorite colors: red, white, and blue. I've always liked the colors together, but they mean so much more to me now since my son and I share a patriotic day! Mine being 9/11 and his being Independence Day! Here is a picture of my beautiful tote:

Then when I went to the mailbox yesterday, I received a box from my sister in law and this is what was inside:

Isn't it gorgeous??? It is a "Family" bracelet that Jonnelle made especially for me! It has each of our 6 initials with our birthstones. It brought tears to my eyes! I put it on immediately and can't wait to show it off to everyone! Then when my sweet and very thoughtful hubby came home, he had each of the girls and Parker hand me a coupon individually and then he brought me his. Here is what they looked like:

Each one said: This is my Scrapbook Sanity Coupon from my loving husband and four beautiful children. Good for one night of stress free, drama free, and diaper free scrapbooking! He has prepaid for FIVE of Stephanie's crops! Is that not awesome??? And the best thing is...I get to use one tonight! I'm so excited! I also got to go to lunch yesterday with my BFF Allyson. I had one of the best birthdays yesterday. I felt so spoiled! Most importantly of all, though, is that I thanked God for all of His many blessings this past year. He is amazing!

Parker is two months old...

Parker turned two months old on September 4th. Every time he turns a new month, I'm hoping to get a picture of him propped up on the sweet raggy blanket that his Aunt Jonnelle made for him so we can see the changes in him. Here is his 2 month picture:

Parker is a happy little baby! He started smiling around 8 weeks old and is smiling all the time:and then he started cooing and laughing around 9 weeks. We are enjoying our sweet baby boy so much! He has brought our family lots of joy!

Parker is...

getting sooo very big! He had his 2 month well check today and Dr. Feld said he was so very pleased with how well he is growing! Here are his stats:
Weight: 13 lb. 9 oz. (90%)
Height: 23.75 in. (90%)
Head: 16.5 in. (90%)

He is smiling and cooing more and more everyday! I'll post new pics. soon!

Bathing Beauties...

The girls have been begging for me to let them take a bubble bath in the "big" bath tub. So after a long afternoon of playing outside on Sunday, I treated them to a nice warm bubbly bath. They were so excited! I was about to go grab the camera and when I turned around, there stood my wonderful husband in the doorway with it already in his hands! He knows me too well! :)
