And today, March 29, 2009, Jonathan and I dedicated Parker to the Lord during the Baby Dedication ceremony at out church, FBC Powell. Through dedicating Parker to the Lord, we are acknowledging that he is a precious gift from God, and that we, by faith, are surrendering him to God's plans and purposes for His glory. This is a huge milestone for us in that we are committing before God and our church family that we will raise Parker according to God's plan by fulfilling the biblical responsibilities given to us as his parents. Please be in prayer for Jonathan and I, and that we will be able to live up to this important responsibility that has been entrusted upon us as Parker's primary spiritual teacher and mentor.David Trent, the Elder of Family Ministry at FBC Powell, introduced Parker to the church along with 15 other babies.

Up until last week he was content sitting and playing with his toys or rolling to get around. The girls are always making sure he is playing with "boy" things like footballs 
and bats!:

When Parker rolled to get around, he would get himself stuck in all kinds of places like under his crib: 
Last week he was really acting like he was going to start crawling, and then finally on Friday March 20

Although it is very exciting, it is sad too because I DO NOT want him growing up this fast! I want him to stay a baby just a little bit longer! We love you so much, Parker Levi, and thank God every day for blessing us with such a sweet baby boy to love and to spoil! 
Parker did so well riding in the stroller and taking in everything: 
He was mesmerized by all of the water and fish. Look at my baby's big blue eyes!
The three girls stuck together all day and took their time watching all of the different fish swimming by:
They thought the name, "schooling fish" was funny and wanted me to take a picture of it:
They had the most fun in the Discovery Center where they could pretend to be inside of the water with the fish:

We all loved the Shark Lagoon. It is a moving 340-foot long glidepath that winds through a tunnel of different fish, turtles, and sharks. Katy was fascinated that she could stand still and be moving at the same time:

YIKES!! The girls kept asking if the sharks were going to come through the glass. I said, "I hope not!" 
Each time they started a new month a child would walk across the stage with a special banner. Then for each song, one child from each of the nine Kindergarten classes got to come forward and perform. Here is the sign for February:

After they went through all of the months, the Kindergarten teachers came out and performed! They did a routine to "Footloose," and it was so good! They were all dressed like the eighties! Lily's teacher, Mrs. Bounds, is the one in the first row on the left:
I had such a great time and was so proud of Lily! It was a wonderful program and I am so glad I got to see it. I love you Lily!
One of my good friends, Laura, and her little girl, Anna, went with us. Katy and Anna couldn't wait for the show to begin!
Katy was mesmerized! She loved seeing all of Dora's friends like Boots, Tico, Benny, Isa, and Big Red Chicken:
Katy was on the edge of her seat from the beginning, but when mean, old Swiper appeared on stage, she was a little unsure, and scooted all the way back in her seat! 
Dora lost her favorite Teddy Bear, so she and Boots were on a journey to the City of Lost Toys to find it. They had to journey to the Pyramid, then Jungle, and finally the City of Lost Toys. On the way Boots and Dora got to Dance with the Stars. Katy loved this part because there were fluorescent stars all over the stage and Auditorium!
Boots and Dora finally made it to the City of Lost Toys and of course Dora found her teddy bear! Hooray! 
When they started singing "We Did It!" at the end, Katy went crazy and she danced and danced away! 
It was a great show and we had such a fun time together!
Then she was able to choose 4 different colors of paint, and she chose speckled pink, rose, turquoise, and purple. Lily enjoyed painting her unicorn and really took her time, making sure to paint everything with 3 coats of paint just like she was told! 
It was so nice to get a chance to talk to her one on one without any interruptions. We talked all about school, her friends, dance, Sparks, and how much she loves Jesus! She is really growing up! Lily let me help her paint some, and she was so proud of her finished product: 
We will get to go pick it up next Saturday after it has been fired and glazed.
