This was Maddy's first year participating in AWANA Cubbies at our church. Each week she had to complete a Bear Hug section in her Hopper handbook which included memorizing a Bible verse. Maddy knew all about Cubbies from her big sister, Lily, so she was very excited to go every Wednesday night. She had two really great teachers, Kim Sikes and Kristi Hopwood, that made Maddy feel very special! Last Wednesday, May 13th, was Cubbies Awards Night. Maddy memorized Matthew 28:6 "He is not here; He has risen, just as He said." and recited it in front of everyone:

We enjoyed helping Maddy memorize scripture and look forward to sending her to AWANA Cubbies again in the Fall.Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him. Matthew 3:3
