A Walk on the Pier

One of Jonathan's favorite memories of the beach when he was little was going out on the pier. He loves history, so when he found out that we were staying close to the longest pier on the East Coast, he wanted to take us to see it. It is called the Apache Pier, and is around 1,206 feet long. While we were there, a man caught a baby sharkand he let the girls touch it before he threw it back in. What an experience! Parker loved the breeze and looking out into the ocean: The sun was going down so I took some pictures of my three girls: And this one is my favorite:

Sisters and Friends Forever!!!

Adventures at Barefoot Landing

One night during our vacation we headed out to Barefoot Landing. First stop was some yummy ice cream cones! Katy saw "horsies" from far away and all she had to do was tell Gramps that she wanted to ride and of course he treated everyone to a ride on the carousel! Katy wanted to make a silly face at the camera: Gramps holding on tight to Lily and Maddy:Parker and Daddy rode in the coach:As we were walking around to the different shops, we heard a DJ playing music and saw lots of older kids line dancing. They started playing the cha cha slide, and Maddy jumped right in and joined the group! We were so proud of her!

Silly Submarine

While we were at the beach, we stayed at the Long Bay Resort. We absolutely loved it because it was so kid-friendly. They had Kids Club activities every day from 11-3 that included crafts, face painting, etc. and it also had a lazy river, 2 indoor pools, an outdoor pool, and a mini water park (called the silly submarine) just perfect for Parker! The water was only 1 foot deep. It was his favorite place to be: And of course the girls enjoyed it too!

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." John 7:37-38

A Sand-sational Time

Are We There Yet?

On Saturday, August 1st, our family packed up and headed to the beach for our vacation.The Lord was so good to us and kept us safe during our traveling. After 10 1/2 hours, we finally reached our destination...Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Boy, were we excited to be out of the van and on our way to get a peek at the beach! Here are the kids and their first reactions to the beach: My sweet girls:And my baby boy: Jonathan and I couldn't wait for a week of making sweet memories with our four precious blessings that we have been given! God is so good!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. Give thanks to the God of gods. Beach Bound!

Our family is taking our first vacation together in almost 4 years! We, along with Jonathan's parents, are headed to North Myrtle Beach on Saturday for a week filled with fun in the sun! Katy and Parker have never been to the beach, and Lily and Maddy were ages 2 and 1 the last time they were there, so everyone is very excited! I look forward to posting pictures of our trip and catching up with all of you when we return home.
